Partner

LondonFull-time

We're looking for a Partner to lead technology operating engagements across our PE portfolio. You'll own client relationships from diligence through exit, build the Avallo brand in market, and help shape the firm's strategic direction.

Avallo embeds senior technology operators inside PE-backed businesses at the moments that matter most — post-close, mid-transformation, pre-exit. As a Partner, you'll be at the centre of that work: leading engagements, developing trusted relationships with fund partners and portfolio CEOs, and setting the standard for how Avallo delivers.

This is not an advisory role in the traditional sense. You'll be hands-on — working alongside management teams to diagnose technology debt, assess build-vs-buy decisions, and drive execution. You'll also bring existing relationships in the PE ecosystem and be expected to contribute meaningfully to business development.

You'll work closely with the founding team and have a real voice in where the firm goes next.

What you'll do

  • Lead 2–4 concurrent portfolio engagements spanning diligence, transformation, and exit readiness
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for fund partners, operating partners, and portfolio CEOs
  • Structure and oversee technology diligence processes for new acquisitions
  • Define operating models and technology roadmaps for post-close execution
  • Build and develop a small team of embedded operators on each engagement
  • Drive origination through your existing network of PE funds and portfolio executives
  • Contribute to firm thought leadership, including reports, roundtables, and speaking engagements
  • Play an active role in shaping Avallo's service offerings, pricing, and go-to-market strategy

What we're looking for

  • 12+ years of experience across technology, consulting, or operating roles — with meaningful time inside or directly serving PE-backed businesses
  • Proven track record of leading technology transformations at the C-suite level
  • Deep familiarity with private equity value creation timelines and investment thesis execution
  • Strong commercial instincts — you understand how to price, sell, and deliver complex engagements
  • Experience managing and mentoring senior technology talent
  • Ability to operate across multiple industries; prior exposure to at least two of: financial services, industrials, healthcare, or software
  • Based in or willing to relocate to London or New York, with travel flexibility

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as a CTO, CIO, or VP Engineering inside a PE-backed company
  • An existing network of fund-level relationships (GPs, Operating Partners, Deal Teams)
  • International engagement experience across US, UK, or Middle East markets
  • Fluency in data engineering, AI/ML deployment, or platform architecture at scale
